I am returning to the rainy promised land (Seattle) once more, this time to sing with the emerging ensemble, Queen City Musicians. They describe themselves as:
"...an associate program of Shunpike, actively performs rarely heard operatic and vocal works along side the familiar repertoire from the sixteenth through eighteenth centuries. Queen City Musicians promotes local emerging vocal and instrumental specialists of Western performance practices with other musicians from across the United States to perform these works in the Pacific Northwest."
I am proud to be singing with Queen City Musicians as one of the soloists for Handel's Ode to St. Cecilia's Day January 16 & 17, 2015. Handel will forever be one of my favorite composers to perform, and I can't wait to get back to singing some early music! Want to get involved in the life of an excellent new classical music group? You can! Watch this short video to find out how. They're taking donations through the end of year! Or if you're in the Seattle area, just come out and show your support at their productions (and wave at me if you see me).
